National Parks Passport
When I really got into visiting the national parks, this passport was one of my first purchases.
I wish I’d had it even earlier as there are several parks that I’ve visited that I don’t have stamps for.
The official NPS National Parks passport is small enough to stick in a pocket with a sturdy cover that will take a fair amount of jostling and abuse.
This is the one you’ll see being sold in the national parks gift shop!
It also has room for the yearly park stickers, which are released annually to highlight some of the incredible places in the different regions of the US.
There are blank sheets in each of the regional areas for you to get the official cancellation stamps at each of the NPS locations.
This passport is excellent if you’re planning to visit both the national parks and other NPS sites like the national battlefields, national monuments, and national historic sites.
On the other hand, my daughter wanted a passport that had dedicated pages for each of the national parks, something that the official NPS passport doesn’t offer.
She also wanted an area for the official cancellation stamp and space to journal about her visit. After much deliberation, she settled on this National Park Adventure Guide.
It is absolutely beautiful! I’m a little jealous of the vintage-style illustrations for each of the parks as well as the added journaling page.
This book is a few inches larger than official NPS passport, but it does have a similar spiral binding. The cover is made from thick cardboard and there are full color illustrations throughout.
These are great if you’re only visiting the national parks and no other NPS sites as there are no places to add stamps or journaling from non-national park sites.
Either of these would make for an excellent stocking stuffer for anyone you know who loves visiting national parks and having a portable, inexpensive way to keep track of their visits.
National Parks Mug
What better way to start out your morning that with a steaming mug of tea or coffee decorated with cute national parks posters?
Your family member or friend can have that morning every day when you gift this cute mug!
This ceramic mug includes colorful illustrations of various vintage-style posters that highlight a variety of national parks, including Yellowstone, Glacier, Mammoth Cave, Zion, and Yosemite.
It’s microwave and dishwasher safe, so it’s easy to use and take care of.
Plus, the mug arrives already packaged in a white box.
All you’ll need to do is wrap it with some cut wrapping paper, perhaps this roll of cute, outdoor-themed paper!
National Parks Water Bottle with Stickers
I LOVE to keep track of my travels and do so with a variety of journals, passports, checklists, and more.
But this fun water bottle means that you get to share that collection with everyone around you, since all of your accomplishments are on display as you stay hydrated.
Plus, thanks to its personalization by stickers and geometric design, it’s quite the conversation starter.
The original national parks water bottle is by Wondery, who came up with this clever ideas several years ago.
I love that the company pledges to give back 3% of their profits to the National Parks Conservation Association to support ongoing efforts in the parks.
The bottle is made of stainless steel, and the plastic wide mouth lid can be switched out if you don’t like the lid with straw that comes with it.
The water bottle comes with all 63 national parks stickers, which are made from a tough, waterproof laminate. The stickers are bright and eye catching, and they come in a variety of colors to match the color of your selected water bottle.
Plus, this water bottle is on sale, so snap it up for the holiday season while you can!
If you’d rather have a Stanley-style cup with the same concept, check out this national parks tumbler with stickers.
Scratch Off National Parks Poster
Let your friends and family show off their travels with one of these interactive scratch off national parks posters!
My husband bought one for our family, and it’s one of our favorite things to do once we’ve checked off another park.
The poster is made of thick paper which will stand the test of time. It’s large enough to catch your visitor’s eye while still being a manageable size when it’s time to scratch off another destination.
When the poster arrives, you’ll see all of the national parks covered in a metallic finish. You then carefully scratch that covering off with a coin to reveal the full color image for each park.
We’ve found that the metallic covering over each park is easy to remove, even for our younger child. It’s a great way to get the entire family involved in reminiscing about your travels.
Because the poster is so visually striking even without all of the park logos revealed, you can frame it as soon as you get it. We’ve left the glass off until we’ve completed the entire poster for easier access.
When you’ve visited them all, pop on the glass and you’ll have an incredible keepsake.
This is a budget friendly gift for any national parks lover!
National Parks Posters Puzzle
This fun yet challenging puzzle features 34 iconic national parks poster icons once it is completed!
With 1000 pieces, this is a puzzle that will keep the entire family engaged for hours. Since it can be an individual or group activity, this puzzle is a great gift for a couple or family with older kids.
The posters featured in the puzzle’s design are based on the WPA designs created in the 1930s and 1940s to promote America’s national parks.
You can even buy larger versions of the individual posters at the national parks gift shops!
The puzzle includes icons from across the national parks system, featuring Denali, Shenandoah, Death Valley, Big Bend, Zion, and more.
I love to gift things that I know people can use again and again, so this puzzle is perfect for that person in your life who wants something long lasting.
Wooden National Parks Tracker
This beautiful wooden tracker is another excellent way for your friends and family to display their travels!
The map showcases the continental United States with Alaska and Hawaii included in the lower left hand corner.
In each national park location, the wood has been cut to fit a small wooden tree.
The 63 trees to complete the map are included. Each of the trees has peelable sticker paper on the back to help affix it to the proper location on your map.
If you’re looking for something sturdier than the national parks scratch off poster (above), this is a great gift option!
This map is smaller than the poster, but it comes ready to hang. Another upside is that you don’t have to fuss with framing it.
It does come at a higher price point, but the it makes for an attractive and eye-catching present for that outdoorsy person in your life.
National Parks Daily Perpetual Calendar
Take your love of the national parks to your office!
This perpetual calendar comes with a ring binder at the top, colorful illustrations throughout, and a daily fun fact about one of the national parks.
The small size of this desk calendar fits just about anywhere in your office and is a convenient reminder for the day.
By the end of the year, you’ll have learned multiple facts about each of the national parks.
Each of the pages includes a full color photograph or a vintage poster from the spotlighted national park.
Since the pages do not include a year—just a month and day—you simply flip the calendar back to the beginning when January 1 rolls back over again.
Because it doesn’t outlive its usefulness in a single year, this calendar is the gift that keeps on giving.
National Parks Themed Packing Cubes
How cute are these parks-themed packing cubes?
Whether you’re heading out on a 2 week national parks road trip or just to your family’s house for the holidays, you need to stay organized.
We’ve found that packing cubes are a game changer for travel, especially now that we have kids.
We can easily divide out the kids’ clothes into each of the cubes to help them know what to wear each day, keep their suitcases tidy, and make life on the road a little bit easier.
This 7-pack of cubes gives you options in your own travel organization, all while reminding you of your favorite parks. The brightly colored bags each have a different design, which further helps you organize your clothing.
One of the cubes also works as a laundry bag to keep those stinky hiking clothes away from your other gear on the way home.
The cubes have light compression in them and can carry much more than you’d think. There’s also a dedicated shoe cube, which keeps your boots or sneakers away from the rest of your suitcase and clothing.
Subpar Parks by Amber Share
Give a giggle for the holidays this year with this funny book about the parks’ least impressed visitors.
While it might seem impossible to find fault with the stunning landscapes, wildlife, and outdoor opportunities at the national parks, there’s always that one person who has to complain.
To those jaded visitors, Yellowstone’s thermal pools are no more majestic than watching a pot boil on the stove, and Grand Canyon is just another hole in the ground.
Those funny comments are off-set by the author’s tongue-in-cheek writing style and colorful illustrations, which take this book from potentially depressing to funny.
It’s part guidebook, part comedy routine, and fully a great gift. The writing is easy to read, so you can pick it up and put it down in between adventures.
Plus, Share includes fun facts about each park highlighted, so that you’ll come away both entertained and informed for your next visit.
If nothing else, the book reminds us all to truly appreciate the incredible offerings within the national parks system—even if others can’t!
National Parks Cookbook
If you have a friend who loves cooking and the national parks, this cookbook is a no brainer gift.
You’ll get to experience some of the most popular recipes served up at the lodges and restaurants from national parks around the country, as well as even more recipes inspired by the cultures and locations of those parks.
The book is divided into 4 main parts: one on the top 10 visited parks, one on the parks of the East and Midwest, another on the parks of the West, and the final section on the parks in Alaska.
Throughout the book are beautiful, full color photo pages that highlight the parks focused on in the different sections. There are also photos of the completed recipes, which I’m always appreciative of so I know how well (or how poorly) my recipe has turned out.
At the start of each recipe is a short blurb about the park that inspired the food and key tips on how to make that recipe as good as possible.
It makes for a lovely holiday gift or housewarming present, and it will surely be used for years to come.

Just pop it in a gift bag, and you’re off to the holiday party!
Black Lantern National Parks Pint Glasses
Prost! Add a bit of national park cheer to your next gathering with these elegant pint glasses.
Each set features a bold black and white design that pays homage to one of 8 national parks.
Choose from the Everglades, Canyonlands, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Yosemite, Olympic or Rocky Mountain.
While they’re almost too pretty to use, these glasses are made to be tough enough for daily use, thanks to the heat set ink.
When purchasing these, you’re also supporting a small business based in the US, as every set is hand printed in the Black Lantern store in Colorado.
These are perfect for that guy or gal who already seems to have everything, and the modern, minimalist design is sure to match the drinkware they already own.
These heavyweight glasses come ready for gift giving in a crisp white box, making this one of the easiest gift options on this list.
Rumpl National Park blanket
I received one of these Rumpl National Park blankets last year for my birthday, and it quickly became the first thing I pack on camping trips.
I saw the Yellowstone themed one while I was at Yellowstone National Park, but made the mistake of not buying on the trip. So, you can imagine how excited I was when my parents surprised me with one just a few months later.
These blankets are so versatile for both home and camping, and they are worth every penny. The colorful designs are easy to spot even in a pile of other gear.
The down fill keeps me warm even on chilly nights by the campfire, and (my favorite part) there’s a clasp on the side so you can turn it into a cape for hands-free comfort. Plus, it is machine washable, and water and stain resistant.
It’s also about the same size as a standard sleeping bag, so you can use it as another layer at bedtime, or as a blanket or padding in a hammock.
While I have the Yellowstone Rumpl blanket featuring the colorful Grand Prismatic Springs, there are 8 other designs for Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Teton, Great Smoky Mountains, Zion, Arches, Denali, and Grand Canyon.
These blankets are incredibly well made and would be a great gift for any of your outdoorsy friends. (And yes, they are totally worth the price!)
